Professional boundaries

Clear about what a McKenzie Friend is, and isn’t

Rebecca is not a solicitor or barrister and cannot be instructed as your solicitor. Her role is to provide experienced guidance and support as a McKenzie Friend: helping you understand the legal framework around your case and prepare effectively for court.

She cannot speak on your behalf in court unless a judge gives permission. Everything you share is kept private and confidential, except where there is a safeguarding concern, which she would always tell you about first.
