Can a McKenzie Friend come with me to Central Family Court?
Yes. You let the court know before your hearing that you’d like a McKenzie Friend with you. I prepare the short CV the judge may ask for, and permission is almost always given.
Do you only help on the day of the hearing?
No. Most of my work happens before the hearing: understanding your case, preparing forms and statements, and making sure you know what to expect on the day.
What if my hearing is by video?
We can prepare by video call wherever you are. Let me know your hearing is remote and we’ll plan how I can support you on the day.
